Fight Night Round 2 was the only Fight Night game in the series to be released on GameCube. Total Punch Control, a control scheme introduced in Fight Night 2004, returns in Fight Night Round 2, with Total Punch Control, movement and most maneuvers, including pinching, leaning and blocking, are performed with the right or left analog sticks, modified by the left or right triggers.
Fight Night Round 2 is a great game that stands as the best boxing game ever and also one of the best fighting games on the Xbox. The game looks and sounds gorgeous and also gives you an incredible amount of control over both offensive and defensive techniques and the result is something that is truly special. Fight Night Round 2 is a game that gets better the more you play it and I think it is well worth a purchase. Online and offline multiplayer are a blast to play and the single player modes provide a long lasting challenge. Rent it first if you must, but I think you can buy Fight Night Round 2 with a fair amount of confidence.
